Mud pots, fumaroles and hot springs at Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park

Rincón de la Vieja Volcano National Park is located in the northwestern part of Costa Rica, about an hour long drive from Liberia airport. The Las Pailas station provides easy access to the more geologically active portions of the park and the handful of hotel and resorts in this area. Up here it’s all about good food, long hikes and quiet nights.
